The UK is fortunate to have some of the best health datasets in the world, which can offer opportunities to transform health and care – but they are often difficult to find, access and use.
At BREATHE, we aim to change this.
BREATHE is a unique not-for-profit collaboration, driving the use of health data in research to transform respiratory health. The Hub brings together patients and the public, universities, third sector organisations and industry from across the UK and globally.
We are part of a network of Health Data Research Hubs, funded through UK Research and Innovation’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, and coordinated by Health Data Research UK.
BREATHE is enabling the use of health data in research by bringing together high-quality datasets in a secure environment, where they can be accessed by approved, trusted researchers.
Our procedures and safeguards ensure data are protected at all stages, whilst supporting pioneering research with the goal of improving respiratory health.
BREATHE is a unique collaboration between academic, charity and industry partners, from across the UK and globally, working alongside patients and the public.
