There is huge potential in the ability to link data, allowing us to push beyond the limitations of individual datasets to explore sophisticated research questions, as we seek to deepen our understanding of respiratory conditions and their treatment.
BREATHE supports data linkage research projects in collaboration with Trusted Research Environment, SAIL Databank, who hold over a decade of experience producing pre-linked datasets according to researchers’ requirements.

SAIL Databank is BREATHE’s primary Trusted Research Environment, which brings services for data analysis, data hosting and sharing.
SAIL Databank hosts anonymised NHS Wales data, representative of the whole Welsh population. Secure data linkage within SAIL Databank allows the ability to follow the patient care pathway, providing a unique perspective.
